ABOUT IREM® SOUTH AFRICA GAUTENG CHAPTER
As an extension of IREM® globally, the IREM® South Africa Gauteng Chapter is committed to maximising the value of investment real estate by improving the professionalism of the industry. We achieve this mandate by supporting our members with all the tools they need to succeed; through education and certified training, professional development, networking and collaboration and certification. More than this we are invested in advancing ethical business practices and ensuring a code of conduct is upheld by all our members.
With more qualified regulated professionals who are better able to service their portfolios, we will enhance the proficiency of the real estate management sector – both commercial and residential.
The IREM® South Africa Gauteng Chapter was established in October 2018 and is the 15th country and the first on the African continent to join the greater IREM® network. The formation of the chapter is the consequence of a successful partnership between IREM®, Wits University, and the South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners (SAIBPP), sponsored by PARETO LTD. The Chapter has the full support of Government – a commitment made by the Minister of Public Works, Thulas Nxesi, at the IREM® 2018 Global Summit, held on 26th – 29th September 2018 in Florida, USA.
South Africa joins BRICS counterparts, including India, Brazil, China and Russia who have long been members of the property organisation. With shared values and a commitment to ethical business practices, property transactions between member companies globally will now be facilitated with greater ease.
